AMHS Parent Association - We are looking for 2-3 volunteer seamstresses to create the real Cat’s Pajamas – yes, loungewear, pants only [and no, Mr. Matusak, not to be used with Cat’s Pajamas Passes]. I have the material, 50 yards of pawprint polar fleece, two color patterns…will need a pattern for either drawstring or elastic waists; can also make ‘boxer’ length. I am still checking into having imprinted elastic ‘Wildcats’ waistbands created but will not wait on that for the first batch. Please contact Stephanni Hoza via e-mail or cell phone [425-330-0618] to volunteer for Cat’s Pajamas sewing. Recently graduated PA Members – you are free to volunteer but this message is mainly to let you know that the PA will be residing in Portable No. 312 [subject to change] by the start of the school year. In addition to having Cat’s Pajamas available for purchase, we should also have by that time ceramic Coffee Mugs, Pennants, stuffed Wildcat mascots, along with our supply of commuter mugs, lapel pins, and window clings [clings currently a bonus only to 07-08 membership registrations]. Stay tuned to also see these items on-line at the PA Web site. We also hope to be able to have volunteers available to fill parent orders for student balloon and candy bouquets for special surprises such as birthdays. Don’t forget On-line Magazine Sales are year-round and accessible from the PA Web site. August 27th please plan to volunteer to help with Teachers’ In-Service Luncheon; Senior Parents will be hosting. Contact Lilian Cavaleri or Janet Pohl to volunteer. |
August 28th please plan to volunteer to help with the New Parent Dinner; Sophomore Parents will be hosting and providing salad/side-dish contributions. Please contact Mary Pursley, Mary Eichinger, or Lori Perez to volunteer. Grand Raffle Tickets will also go on sale at the New Parent Dinner. We plan to make it a true Grand Raffle and have $1000 as the [ahem] grand prize. Again, sales will be limited and the other prize packages will include VIP AMHS and Family Nights Out. Thank you all who helped make this a success. Please contact Lori Perez to volunteer with this program. September 5th, Curriculum Night Hospitality will be provided by Junior Parents. This consists of hosting and providing dessert contributions [cookies, bars, brownies...]. Please contact Heidi Bateman or Molly Smith to volunteer. Also note, that due to the popularity of our Junior High Dances, we have been asked to host a Freshmen/Sophomore Dance. The date is Saturday, September 8th. This will also be a fundraiser for us. ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ Flyers and T-shirt Order Forms should be available on the Web this week. Please contact Stephanni Hoza to volunteer for set-up/decorations, door sales, snacks & beverages, chaperoning, and clean-up. Bunc-O-Rama is Saturday, October 6th, adults only.
